ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE: ARTISTS WORK ON SCREEN
Filmmakers are artists, often with backgrounds in other disciplines and experts in collaboration, so it’s no wonder they look to other artists for inspiration and subject matter. Still, many questions remain. How does film/video help to promote artists’ work? How can artists collaborate effectively with filmmakers? How can a filmmaker stay true to an authentic vision while simultaneously honoring the artist? Diverse local artists and filmmakers come together to explore the possibilities that arise from creative collaboration.
